The weekend is almost upon us and I cannot wait. It has been one crazy, busy week.
I planned my first event for my new job tonight (Thursday) and mother nature decided she wasn’t on board with my outdoor concert series and dropped a giant storm right on top of us. Completely drenched from head to toe (so drenched that my chucks are still sopping out water two hours later!)…we braved the storm to tear down as much of the tents, umbrellas and tables that we could. These Alabama storms aren’t anything to mess with!
So here I sit…with my iPhone in rice (praying the ear piece comes back to life), watching Penny Dreadful (obsessed with this Showtime show) and looking forward to a nice calm weekend.
Jesse always calls this my zoo worker dress…and if this weather ever lets up (97 degree days and random thunderstorms) I’d love to visit the Birmingham Zoo. I don’t feel like I’ve really gotten to share a lot of the “new” here on the blog. The food/restaurants are wonderful and there is constantly something going on!
Side note…I am a huge fan of the scarf/bandana trend. I haven’t rocked mine much since arriving to Birmingham…mostly because it’s hot, but I feel like I need more. If you are headed to Market 301 tonight, stop in and pick up every color from Miss Molly Vintage.
I’m off to binge watch Penny Dreadful till I fall asleep…let’s hope tomorrow that I have a working iPhone!
