After spending last Saturday at the MoonTower Music Festival, I never want summer to end. What a great way to close out August (and almost the end of summer). It makes me happy to have events like this in Lexington (Thanks to LexEffect for all your hard work organizing this event!!) and to see the people of Lexington (and surrounding areas) coming out to support.
Here’s a quick recap of last Saturday’s festival, in case you missed out (don’t make that same mistake next year!)
We got up close and personal with the bands! Wow what a great line up with bands starting at 10AM and rolled well into the night. Some of my favorites: The Lonely Biscuits, Space Capone, The Weeks, J. Roddy Walston and the Business (man did they kill it!) and of course Moon Taxi.
We drank local brews and slushie wine! (and waited in live for said beverages…unless you had VIP tickets where you basically could walk up and score beer in two seconds flat.)
We danced…some of us more than others. Rock on girls, rock on!
The Weeks guitarist rocking some kick ass Kentucky for Kentucky gear!
Head over to the MoonTower website and sign up to get notifications in early 2016 about next years festival. It truly was a kick ass affair!
