I’m beyond excited to announce that one of my favorite brands, The Frye Company, is coming to Lexington and will be opening with The Summit at Fritz Farm. Looks like I’ll be spending all my money at Market 301 and Frye when I come in for my monthly visits!
Frye is a brand I have known about for years, but never really invested in until last spring. It all started with a kick-ass pair of leather high top tennis shoes in the clearance section that I “had to have” and it has quickly progressed into three additional boots that I literally wear with everything (the Sabrina 6G, the Sasha Short-color sold out, and the Ellen Buckle Short-seen in this post). I used to buy a million different pairs of inexpensive, throw away shoes and would be disenchanted with them with in a month or two (or they’d start falling apart)…but as I’ve started buying less and investing more…I find that I am much, much happier with my purchases and reach for them the quality pieces (I wear my Sabrina’s 3-4 days a week!) It helps that Frye is one of the best quality boots you can get your hands on so the boots are comfortable and require very little “breaking in.”
This Ilana crossbody is new in the line-up of bags from Frye and I am ecstatic to get my hands on it. I’ve been eyeballing it and the backpack version and I have to say, I am not disappointed. The craftsmanship is exactly what I was looking for in a bag. The leather is thick…but not heavy, the stitching details add that little something extra, there’s a spot for your cell phone in the pocket right up front (win!!), and the amount of stuff I have in this small bag is sort of ridiculous…it’s like Mary Poppins designed it! Not to mention it has a little equestrian feel to it that makes me think of Kentucky (smiles!)
If you aren’t following @thesummitatfritzfarm already, head on over, and do it! The quality of stores that are coming to Lexington makes me really sad that I am living 400 miles away…but don’t worry, I’ll be making trips in to visit/shop. As a Lexingtonian, you aren’t going to want to shop anywhere else (trust me…I’ve got the inside scoop!)
