I have been waiting all year for this event! As a foodie and food blogger this event is right up my alley (and hopefully yours!). I will talk less and share more this post as I have lots of yummy photos to make you hungry this Monday morning!
What time is lunch again?
What started off as a dreary, overcast Saturday quickly cleared and left us with this beautiful sky for our taste of Lexington!
First stop…the ticket booth. I snagged up $15 worth of tickets, as did my sister. Between us $30 worth of tickets was plenty to sample and fill our belllies.
This year, CRAVE was separated out into three tents (which was nice in case it did rain and shaded everyone from the beating sun when it finally started to show).
The money shot (Brisket) from Bluedoor Smoke House. Congrats to these guys who won the Crave Southern Award and the Crave Overall award.
I was briefly fooled and was hoping this was bacon ice cream. (licks lips)
A big, big thank you to Shop Local KY for this awesome “Bluegrass” Tee! Get yours over at www.thekyshop.com (great unisex shirts too!)
I don’t normally have a sweet tooth, but I was drawn to all the sweets at Crave! I might have sampled more than half my tickets in sweets.
Shhhh…don’t tell my dentist or my trainer.
I am super excited about my Integritea double glass tumbler that I took home! I’ve used it twice to brew myself a nice cup of Bluegrass Breeze, their featured black tea. Next, I’m grabbing a bag of the Relax!
Don’t forget, Lexington Pasta has 5 more days to reach their kickstarter goal…go grab up the $50 Pasta 101 class! (valued at $65)
I’m super excited about Mark Jensen’s new restaurant, Middle Fork, coming to the distillery district in the coming weeks (fingers crossed)! More photos over on the visitlex.com blog post.
My friends son thinks Food Trucks means only Rolling Oven…but seriously…their truck (and pizza) are pretty awesome!
Oh these wings! If it’s from Sabio’s or Jax…you know I’m all about it!
Chathman’s, the new restaurant that took over the Woodland Ramsey’s location. If you like Ramsey’s…you’ll love Chathman’s. If you don’t like Ramsey’s…you’ll love Chathman’s!
Bourbon. Good. Chocolate. Good. Together…heaven!
I could have only been happier to sample Martine’s if there were macaroon’s available (I’m addicted). I’ll settle for amazing lemon bars and nutella brownies instead.
I’m so sad this bracelet is not on my arm. I love, love everything made by Border State Made. Absolutely beautiful products. Go check them out if you haven’t heard of them. You’ll have everything on your wish list.
We could not have asked for a more beautiful fall weekend for such a great event.
Did you hit up CRAVE this past weekend? What were your favorite samples? Is there a new restaurant you are going to try since you sampled them at Crave?
Be sure to head over and check out my tasting highlights from Crave over on www.visitlex.com.
