This holiday, keep in the “shopping local” spirit not only with your gift buy, but also when buying your trees and wreaths (and other decorations when possible). I headed out to King’s Gardens last week to scope out (and smell…ahhh) all the beautiful Christmas trees. For years, I’ve had a fake tree (I think I was scarred by the lopsided, Christmas vacation, tied from the ceiling, trees my dad used to bring home when I was a kid) but as an adult, I want nothing more than to have a real tree and a rustic look for the holidays.
Located on Nicholasville Road, King’s Gardens is a family run, local Lexington Garden Center. The center is full of trees, greenery, wreaths, a wreath making station (King’s will make you works of art like these that were made for Market 301!) and all sort of other finds that are not Christmas related. I snagged a beautiful Fiddle Leaf Fig while I was there and will be headed back to get some succulents after I grab some pots from LC Pottery at the Black Market event held at the Loudoun House this weekend.
King’s Garden has partnered with me to offer Love Lexington readers $10 off any tree but it ends this coming Saturday, December 5th. Just tell them Love Lexington sent you! Please, please share your trees on Instagram, I absolutely love seeing them all decorated. Be sure tag @love_lexington or #lovelexington and @KingsGardens in your Christmas Tree photos.
